Quotes
Quotes are free and given in writing after we have looked at the job. A quote covers what is written on it and nothing else — if something is found once work starts that could not reasonably have been seen beforehand, we will tell you what it means for the price before we carry on, not afterwards.
Access and site conditions
We need access on the agreed days, somewhere to get water, and power. Rooms should be as clear as you can reasonably make them; we will sheet and protect what is left.
Where scaffold, a tower or a skip is needed it will be stated in the quote, along with who is arranging it and any permit that is required.
Timescales
Dates given are honest estimates. External work depends on the weather, and render will not be applied into frost or when freezing conditions are expected before it cures. If a date moves you will be told as soon as we know.
Drying and decorating
New plaster, render and screed all need time before they are decorated or covered. We will tell you what to wait for. Damage caused by decorating or laying a floor before the surface is ready is not something we can be responsible for.
Payment
Payment terms are on your quote. On larger jobs we may ask for a materials payment up front, which will be stated before the job is accepted.
Putting things right
If something is not right, tell us. We would far rather come back and sort it out than have you live with it. This does not affect your statutory rights.
This website
The guides on this site are general information, not advice on your specific property, and rules change. Where we cite a regulation we link to the source so you can check the current version yourself.
